About Marilyn Shaw

Marilyn Shaw is a Psychotherapist, Best-Selling Author, and the visionary Founder of Faitherapy—an organization created to bridge the gap between faith and mental wellness for women. Inspired by her own journey through a mental health crisis, Marilyn uses her powerful voice to empower others to renew, restore, and redefine their lives.

As host of the Faitherapy Podcast, she facilitates honest, healing conversations that challenge stigma and break down barriers around mental health, especially in faith-based communities. In addition to her clinical work, Marilyn serves as a National Mental Health First Aid Educator with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, where she equips individuals and organizations with evidence-based tools to recognize and respond to mental health and substance use challenges.

Marilyn earned her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Emporia State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Petersburg College. As a therapist and mental health educator, she remains committed to breaking stigma, bridging gaps, and creating safe spaces where true healing begins.
